The ZHAW School of Management and Law is on track to forming its Collegiate Chapter of the international Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma. 356 students, graduates, and faculty members have been invited to join.
The ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) is announcing its first annual Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) invitation phase. Membership in BGS is the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business school accredited by AACSB International – which applies to only five percent of business schools worldwide. BGS inductees are honored for their academic achievement and acknowledged as leaders who embody superior levels of personal and professional excellence. They will be able to participate in a unique network entitled “Best in Business” and enjoy a range of other BGS benefits. For more information about BGS, visit our brand new website.
A Great Honor for Students and Faculty Members
Invitations to join BGS have been sent to 294 students, including some of the graduates of 2015. These are among the top 10 percent of their Bachelor class or the top 20 percent of their Master’s programs. Another 62 invitations have been sent to core faculty members who have been instrumental in the success of our students and the entire SML. “We’re very pleased that we can offer this valuable lifetime membership to our best talents, and I congratulate all who’ve earned an invitation to join this prestigious society”, said André Haelg, Dean and Managing Director of SML and President of the BGS Collegiate Chapter. Invitees are advised to save the date: The Chapter’s Installation and first Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 26 February 2016, 5pm.
The next assessment and invitation phase will take place in fall 2016. We encourage all our students to aim for this challenge.
