At the end of March, the SML welcomed 22 MBA students from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) as part of a one week study visit to Switzerland.
The HKBU students gained first-hand experience on factors behind Switzerland’s economic success through a series of company visits. These included visits to UBS, Rieter AG, Zimmer AG, H. Moser & Cie and Park Hyatt Hotel. Lectures from SML professors on Swiss private banking and wealth management, luxury management and the Swiss economy helped support the students’ learning. The program organized by the Department of International Business was specifically designed for HKBU final year MBA students.
Michael Farley, Head International Cooperation & Partnerships said: “Our partnership with Hong Kong Baptist University stretches back a number of years. As a triple accredited university, and with its location in central Hong Kong, the University has always been a popular exchange destination for our students. This is the first time we have been able to organize a study visit for HKBU. We received excellent feedback on our lectures, the interesting company visits and the program in general. I hope a study visit to Switzerland becomes a regular fixture in their MBA calendar.”
